MDC HTL V3 EZP Flashlight

Malkoff MDC HTL EZP (Easy Programmable) 18650 Flashlight. This flashlight can be reprogrammed to use different combinations of the Low, Medium, and High light modes. The light produces approximately 1050 lumens and 40K candela. The full output runtime on a 3500mah 18650 battery is approximately 1 hour. The full output runtime on 2x CR123 is approximately 30-45 minutes. The LED is 5700K Cool white. Choose your tint by clicking the buttons above.

*Below 3.6 volts the flashlight will slowly taper in output. Low Voltage Protection (fast taper) doesn't start until 3 volts. Below 2.7 volts the flashlight will turn itself off. The use of an unprotected cell entails additional risks. 

**Actual highest output is dependent on the internal resistance of the battery.

The Flashlight consists of a MDC 18650 Handheld Body and a HTL V3 EZP Head. The body is one piece with a McClicky Switch and Black Nitride Stainless Steel Pocket Clip Installed. The options for the Pocket Clip may be chosen with the buttons above. It DOES NOT have a removable tailcap. It is constructed of 6061 T6 Aluminum and is HA Black Type III Hard Anodized. 

The body is designed for a single protected 18650 rechargeable battery. Sold HERE. We encourage the use of protected batteries for overall safety. We also carry a low internal resistance high discharge battery. Sold HERE. The use of an unprotected cell entails additional risks. A charger for this battery is sold HERE. 

It will also work with two CR123 primary batteries, with a slightly reduced output.

The optional Titanium Deep Carry MDC Pocket Clips are custom designed and manufactured by LynchNW exclusively for the Malkoff Devices line of MDC Pocket Lights. They are made of Grade 5 6AL-4V Titanium with a Stone Washed Finish. These pocket clips prevent the user from standing the flashlight on its tail. Product Page

This is a nice pocket sized flashlight that will reach out 200+ yards with good spill. The LED is 5700K Cool white.

Mode of Operation for HTL EZP 3 Mode Head:

The default programming is Low - Medium - High.

The Output Levels for a Single 18650 are:

1. Low = approximately 8 Lumens
2. Med = approximately 80 Lumens
3. High = approximately 1050-1200 Lumens (depending on the internal resistance of the battery)
   

The Output Levels for 2x CR123 are:

1. Low = approximately 8 Lumens
2. Med = approximately 80 Lumens
3. High = approximately 850 Lumens

PROGRAMMING THE LIGHT (watch the video)

• The light is programmed using a series of short and long button presses. 
• A short button press is a short momentary (<0.5 second) button press that DOES NOT latch/click the switch.
• A long button press is a long (>0.5 second) button press. In most cases latching the switch is not necessary.
• To enter Programming Mode perform 20 short button presses. It is not necessary to count or be exact. Simply perform short presses until the light begins to fast strobe.
• Hold the long button press. The light will fast strobe for approximately 5 seconds.
• Continue holding the long press. After the strobe, the light will emit single flashes at 2 second intervals.
• Count the number of flashes and release the button when the desired mode group (number of flashes) is reached. 
• Releasing the the button during the fast strobe will reset to default (L-M-H).

PROGRAMMING EXAMPLE

• To make your light single mode high only.
• Short press until the light starts strobing.
• Hold the press. Once the strobing stops - Release the button after the 4th flash. 

STAINLESS-STEEL BEZEL OPTION

The stainless-steel(SS) bezels fit this head and any MDC head that uses an optic. If purchased from this screen, the stainless-steel bezel will be installed on the head. The original black-anodized aluminum bezel will be included.
