MDC 1AA Flashlight

Hard Anodized Black MDC (Malkoff Daily Carry) 115 Lumen, 1AA Flashlight. This is a multimode light. Modes are LowLow-Low-High. It always comes on in LowLow.

Choose Cool color tint or Neutral color tint from the drop down menu above.

These are Black Type III Hard Anodized finish. They are fully potted and use the same reflector as the M61 for a good balance of throw and spill.  The LED is a White (5700K) Luminous SST-20 or a Neutral White (4000K) 95 CRI Luminous SST-20. 

This light will support standard alkaline AA, lithium primary AA, and rechargeable NIMH AA.

Mode of Operation:

The switch debounce time is 150 milliseconds. The mode will advance each time the light is momentarily activated and the switch debounce time has passed.

This light uses ON time to determine mode switching.  If the light is left ON for more than 1 second, the NEXT off/on cycle will return the light to low.  If the light is NOT LEFT  ON for 1+ seconds the next off/on cycle will advance the mode.  The off time has no relation to the mode switching of the light.  In most normal use, the light will always come on in low.

Summary of Modes at 1.2v-1.5v: 0.3 lumens/9 lumens/115 lumens (Cool)

                                                        0.3 lumens/8 lumens/90 lumens (Neutral)

Runtimes will depend on capacity of batteries used. In general capacity/draw * 0.80 or {[mah battery/draw]*0.80}=approx runtime in hours.

Approx Draw by mode:

LowLow = 8ma

Low = 90ma

High = 1500ma

A 2000 mah Eneloop at full charge will provide approximately 200+ hrs on LowLow, 18+ hrs on Low, and 1 hr on High.

The optional Titanium Deep Carry MDC Pocket Clips are custom designed and manufactured by LynchNW exclusively for the Malkoff Devices line of MDC Pocket Lights. STAINLESS-STEEL BEZEL OPTION

The stainless-steel(SS) bezels fit this head and any MDC head that uses a reflector. If purchased from this screen, the stainless-steel bezel will be installed on the head. The original black-anodized aluminum bezel will be included.

Things to Know Before Purchase:

This flashlight was designed for use with a single primary lithium AA, rechargeable NIMH AA, or alkaline AA.  Best results will be achieved with a primary lithium AA, or rechargeable NIMH AA.  DO NOT USE A RECHARGEABLE Li-ion CELL.  The voltage is too high.

The input voltage is 0.8 - 1.7 volts.  Input voltages of more than 1.7 volts may cause unstable operation of modes.  Voltages of more than 3.3 volts may damage this flashlight.

This light is NOT protected against reverse polarity. The positive terminal of the battery must be installed toward the head of the light!!!
